LEAD Maryland Class IX recently visited Harborview Farms on September 17. Harborview was one of their stops as they visited with some of the region's leaders in agriculture. The LEAD Maryland class is made up of a fellowship of leaders that are focused on better serving the agriculture, natural resources, and rural communities. LEAD Maryland is a program offered through the University of Maryland Extension. Click here to learn more about this training program visit.
The group learned of the many efforts that Harborview Farms is doing to advance agriculture, improve the Eastern Shore community, and protect the Chesapeake Bay watershed. After partaking in a tour of the Harborview Farms operation, the class hit the road to go meet with one of our partners, Willard's Agri-Service. We wish wish the best to this LEAD Maryland Class as they discover ways to strengthen our region's agricultural community and assist in enhancing our unique environment.
